Where has all the Sun gone?

I've had another incredible week avec my friends. We went to Greenich, which was really fun. We walked around the shops (though there wasn't many) and then walked for aaaaaages trying to find Pizza Hut down these really dodgy streets. Soon we found it though and it was DELICIOUS. Just thinking about it now makes me hungry :(.

But lets move away from food shall we? After lunch we went on a BOAT along the Thames. It was really cool (although I honestly thought it would be a speed boat. Darn it.). Meanwhile, throughout the day, me and Ambra were trying to remember the tune of 'Never Forget'. It was so frustrating!! Ambra even phoned her sister up, and even after she hummed it to us. It took good old Sophie to get her iPhone out and youtube it. We couldn't stop singing it after that and vowed to learn the whole song (on reflection and after reading the lyrics it is a bloody long and complicated song. I'm just learning the chorus :)). After a starbucks we joggled off home and I got a lift with Dawn in her groovy Hello Kitty car.

On Wednesday me, ambra, kirsty, dawn and megan went to see the new Harry Potter film. It was really good. It was pretty funny because I was sitting next to Kirsty (remember the really big Rupert Grint fan??) and she was just in her own little paradise (unless the actresses went anywhere near him in which she had a murderous look in her eye...) and also we took everything that Dumbledore said the wrong way. ("take my arm, Harry.." "Have you got a girlfriend, Harry?") It was pretty damn funny.

Thursday I literally sat in the garden (in the SUN - omg can you believe it??) and read the rest of Confessions of a Shopoholic. Really good and easy book to read. Really enjoyable, deffo recommended. My mum was experimenting with cupcakes as well, so as the chief taster I ate 7. Yes. I know. [In case you're interested: 4 cinammon and apple ones, 3 chocolate ones and a hell of a lot of bowl licking ;)).

Tonight I'm off to the fairground with my mates and I can't wait!! I'm a wimp on any kind of ride though so I'll mostly be eating candyfloss.

Sunshine, Lollypops and- and, well Poetry.

I got an email today from the college stating: "Well done! You're in the Top 10 for the poetry competition. The winner will be decided next Monday on not only the poetry but also the performance." AAAH! Don't get me wrong - I'm pretty proud that out of the whole college students that entered the competition I'm in the top 10. But I have to admit - I'm scared.

I've no problem with talking with a small group of people.. but in front of an audience I develop a stutter, splutter and a generally red complexion. However, I shall take the challenge by the horns [correct phrase..?] and do it. DO IT! [haha Kirsty - where did this come from??]

I have a meeting tomorrow with two teachers and the competition [ggrrr mean face, mean face]. This unfortunately means that I miss out on going to the Harry Potter Premiere with Kirsty who is Rupert Grint CRAAAAAAAZY!!!

[Unfortunately I egged on this obsession by buying her the pillow. Sorry Rupert! :P]

But anyways back to poetry, I shall try to get the confidence of one of my many inspirational people: Clara Bow.

London

Yesterday Me, Ambra and Kirsty went to LONDON. We have been way too many times, but each time is hilarious. We went to Covent Garden first, but for some reason we literally looked at it then said:
"Waterstones?"
And off we trotted to my FAVOURITE Waterstones (the only shop that I know of in England to sell my all time favourite magazine NYLON). After purchasing my mag, we went upstairs to Costa, nicked some seats from these old people and ordered some mighty fine ham and cheese paninis. Being England, June weather turned out to be grey and rainy but it got a lot better in the afternoon.

The rain did not stop us from the breaking the law though, so that's all good...
Ok, I say breaking the law but I think it didn't really matter that we scooted our way through these gates that police people had put up. Everyone was doing it. We just wanted to see ole Queenie (again).

We meandered around the outside of Buckingham Palace ["It's not much, but it's home."] for a while trying to figure out why there were so many flags up and gates in place. We saw lots of (much to Kirsty's delight) soldiers walking around outside the gates, but we never found out why there seemed to be extra protection and flag-age around the palace {even though Ambra and Kirsty forced me to ask the ice cream lady, to which she replied "Idno" and shrugged.}.

We lazed around St James park eating icecream, cookies and practicing our moonwalks for a while. After looking at Kirsty's infamous map we debated going to China town, but - alas - Ambra was not impressed with that idea so we instead went to PLATFORM 9 AND 3/4. For those of you not living on this planet, Kirsty is a HUGEEEEE Harry Potter (or namely Ron Weasley) fan and so she had experience on getting us there.
We were pretty darn exhausted after that, and so we made our way (s-l-o-w-l-y due to arriving at Barking Docks for some strange reason) home.

After munching on a salmon bagel and watching 8 out of 10 cats, Kirsty arrived and we looked at photos and watched home videos of when we both had WAY TOO THICK FRINGES. Ahhh, the good old days...
