Getting chucked out of a cinema...
On Friday, Kirsty, Ambra, Sophie and I met up with some of the boys they know at college to go see Zombieland. All the guys seem really cool, though us girls were a bit outnumbered [ie 3 girls: 6 boys] but it was a really hilarious night. There was one thing that really annoyed me though: never in my life have the people at the cinema checked my ticket whilst I'm watching the film. I don't know about you but once I'm in I just chuck it at the bottom of the bag and forget about it. Well, suddenly this security guard came up to us and was like:
"Everyone get your tickets out."
Mass panic as we scrambled around in the dark trying to find our tickets. Trust me and Kirsty to have lost ours. We had to go through the embarrassment of walking out of the cinema, down the escalator to the busy cashier desk and the security dude asked the girl if she remembered serving us. Being an idiot she said no. [Totally unfair - if I was working there I would think, Man that has to be cringey and they look like alright girls; I'll just say yes...] Then the security guard patronisingly put a hand on Kirsty's shoulder:
"You seem like nice girls, did you honestly buy a ticket?" To which we irritatedly said yes! I could not believe it - we'd missed at least twenty minutes of the film, had been publicly humiliated and then didn't get an apology. Unfortunately a little too late we both found our tickets after the security guy sauntered off.
However, the night ended well as we went round one of the guys house and laughed a lot (especially kirsty). Phew, what a night!
On Saturday Kirsty and I went to Camden. We both love it there, though haven't been there in ages - not since that fire burnt down the market. I bought a lovely bangle and Kirsty bought a purse and hat. It was incredibly funny, and we made a movie, I just haven't got round to editing it yet, but will show you soon!

After our trip up London, Kirsty came back to mine and we had pizza and laughed hysterically over who knows what! It was sooo funny. We Facebook-stalked; youtubed Kyle (See below); went on webcam to Amy; sung our hearts out to online Karaoke and generally tackled each other to ruin one another's facebook, depending on who was logged on at the time...

Fun times but back to reality: have a media project to get on with and English coursework to finish.
Au Revoir Senoritas!

Have had such a busy week! Went round Kirsty's yesterday and it was hilarious. We spent pretty much the whole day on the laptop looking at funny videos/ dribbling over celeb crushes (btw have found a replacement for Topher Grace - Kyle Gallner. :p) We ate chocolate muffins and then tried to take a photo of ourselves doing a Herbal Essences hair flip. Don't ask why - I don't even know!
Tomorrow all us lucky ladies at college get our HPV jabs. Yay! Injections. Not. I'm ok with needles etc; it's just the waiting around for it that I hate.
Ooh, and I have decided to get a fringe. I know, I know. I'll probably grow it out, but what the hell - you only live once, right? [Ok, don't really know how this justifies why I should get a haircut, but whatever...] Will take some photos after Thursday to show you how it turns out (fingers crossed).
On a side note, am currently watching this:

Now I usually love College Humor. But this is just harsh (still made me laugh though!)

Lots of Birthday Invitations
I'm excited for both - for both 18ths we are going in a limo up to London. Two limos in two months: not bad right?
There's only one problem, and that's with Dawn's party. Her theme is 'pink' and we have to wear accordingly. And guess what?

Yup, I know, how awkward am I? But I tend to stick to my favourite black clothing. Looking at my wardrobe is like looking into a black hole. My favourite colour is red, I think it suits me, and there are an assortment of different colours in there. But I don't wear pink.
So now I'm struggling to find a dress that is pink and that I'm going to wear again. Something that isn't too nauseating but still consists of something that actually is pink. I need help.
As you all know I am a HUGE fan of Zooey Deschanel, and I especially love her fashion. But it seems she shares my aversion to the difficult colour too:

However, I did find this one outfit in which she wears pink and LOVE it:

Ahh, has anyone seen anything similar anywhere?

Strike A Pose.

This was a while a back now but I just loved this party and couldn't miss out on sharing the awesome photos with you!
I had such a great time! It was a surprise 40th Birthday party for my Dad's cousin Karen and she was so shocked! Kirsty and I were the first on the dance floor with our official dance moves (ie Vogue, Robot, Llama, repeat). Even Karen's husband Simon came up to us and said: "If I don't speak to you two again tonight, I'd just like to thank you for getting everyody dancing!". Why thank you, we do try.
It was an incredibly good night, but I wish people had dressed up more - there was only about 40% in 80's outfit. Um, hello? It's a fancy dress party. Don't be rude and wear a green t shirt and jeans.
Urgh.
But on a lighter note - ooooooooooooooh I wanna dance with somebody!!

Center Parcs

I've just got back from my holiday to Center Parcs avec Kirsty and my family. I had such a great time - Kirsty and I could NOT stop laughing :).
I totally love Center Parcs anyway - you feel so free the whole time as there are no cars allowed inside the forest and you ride your bike everywhere! There's also the super cool swimming pool which sports three awesome slides and a rapids slide which is so powerful you get twisted along everywhere. It was the most fun ever!
This is not including all the activities you can do - from Zip wires to pedalos on the lake, as well as a treasure hunt and pretty much anything else you can think of! Me and Kirsty (and my family!) had such a brilliant time, but instead of my describing it to you, I'm making 4 individual youtube videos for the 4 days we spent there so you can see for yourself how much fun we had:
I will add the other videos onto here once I have completed them. I haven't finished them all yet, as I have actually been quite ill since I got back - just a cold and headache though, so nothing to worry about.
Have any of you been to Center Parcs of somewhere similar before?

London, baby, YEAH!

Anyway: we met up with Debra and her super new haircut (she hates it, we love it!) travelled towards the Lazy Oaf Michael Jackson Tribute at their shop. Unfortunately, Debra had to go... but it was for a friend's birthday so we hope she had fun too!
[Above - hilarious mates]
Soooo Kirsty got us there!! (me and ambra are hopeless at travel generally, though I admit that Ambra is an ickle bit better than me.... can anyone say 'clueless'?) It was a little bit quiet for a tribute but we still had hilarious fun at Carnaby street as well as buying some rather gorgeous items.

[From Accessorize and Vintage shop. I also bought a scarf and DVD from Oxfam - my first charity purchases ever!!]
It is always hilarious times when I'm out with my college mates (espesh the 'Abbs Cross Lot' as I call Ambra, Kirsty and Sophie when they're not there. SORRY!! lol). And you know what - we laughed sooooo much but I can't for the life of me think of ANYTHING we were laughing at. [though I recall me and Ambra pronouncing the restaurant 'HaHa' in about a million different ways really loudly down a random street... and the maths quiz we gave Kirsty on the way home... hehe.]
Aw gawd my memory sucks - we did so much today and had hilarious times but all went so quickly (time flies...). So, if you want to find out more juicy facts, let me direct you to... Kirsty's Blog!! Do it. Do it now.

Sunshine, Lollypops and- and, well Poetry.

I got an email today from the college stating: "Well done! You're in the Top 10 for the poetry competition. The winner will be decided next Monday on not only the poetry but also the performance." AAAH! Don't get me wrong - I'm pretty proud that out of the whole college students that entered the competition I'm in the top 10. But I have to admit - I'm scared.
I've no problem with talking with a small group of people.. but in front of an audience I develop a stutter, splutter and a generally red complexion. However, I shall take the challenge by the horns [correct phrase..?] and do it. DO IT! [haha Kirsty - where did this come from??]
I have a meeting tomorrow with two teachers and the competition [ggrrr mean face, mean face]. This unfortunately means that I miss out on going to the Harry Potter Premiere with Kirsty who is Rupert Grint CRAAAAAAAZY!!!

But anyways back to poetry, I shall try to get the confidence of one of my many inspirational people: Clara Bow.

Sales Fleet in Oxford Street
Yesterday I wandered up to London avec Kirsty and Sophie. We went to two art galleries which were really interesting and very different (take a video of a man dancing around naked on a TV at one gallery, and a walk in hut with a chandelier inside it in another).
Lunch was at Pizza Hut (we had Veggie Surprise or something...thinking maybe the vegetables would equal out the greasiness of the pizza. It didn't.) Absolutely delish, cept we JUST missed the lunchtime buffet gawd damn it. And the pizza took aaaaaages.
We met up with Ambra who had danced at Pineapple Studios and was really tired. However, although we were pretty exhausted we braved the sales in Topshop and H and M in Oxford street. It was sooo busy and hot, but we all bought some great finds. (Kirsty got a hat like mine!)
It was a pretty fun day, though sweltering hot. :)

Thank George It's Friday
It was a sweltering train journey up to London but during TGIF's [we all had burgers] it started to chuck it down! And I was only in my lil dress. We had an interesting conversation with the waitress who stated that she was from Brazil - imagine how she felt about this weather.
After dancing in the rain for 10 minutes (and waving at - we think - tourists on a coach. I stand by believing they were tourists because if they were English they wouldn't have waved back with so much passion. They were all waving to me and Amy's gleeful waves whilst Kirsty cringed ;P) we decided to go for a lil trot through leicester square, then H&M [bought a top and skirt for a tenner] and then onto Covent Garden. It was hirarious.
Amy departed leaving me and Kirsty to act like tourists [again] as we took ever more photos of us next to Big Ben etc. [We actually got asked by tourists where the boat with the fancy dress people was. As Kirsty explained that we saw some people in fancy dress back along the Thames, I just stood there confused. I thought the woman had said 'bar' instead of 'boat'. Anyhoo, after Kirsty explained the tourists looked at her and said: "Are you even English?"; which set us off into Hyena laughs as Kirsty explained: "Yeah I am - i'm just crap at talking."]
We also did a Michael Jackson tribute through London, singing the likes of 'Billie Jean', 'Thriller' etc as well as Boom boom pow. [Which WE think could be used in the Cats musical as a new song with the lyrical change of Boom Boom Meow].
Another incredibly funny day. [BTW: well done to Kirsty for surviving her first driving lesson yesterday].
Oh, also apologies for no photos - will add some later - my PC is doing a crazy thing in the fact that IT IS NOT UPLOADING ANYTHING. Ass.

O Romeo, Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?

After a pretty crappy day at college, I was invited by Kirsty to see Romeo and Juliet in the park [Anyone heard of it?? hehe]. We were worried all day that it was going to rain but thankfully it didn't.
Blog Life Lesson Number 1

I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to the only people I can rely on in college - my friends. Thank you to Kirsty, Debra and Dawn who were there with me and supported me.
George, Smint and Shortie ;)

Cinema, Ebay and Shopping
So over the last three days I have:
- Gone to the Cinema avec Courtney, Sophie, Debra, Ambra, Kirsty, Dawn :) We were incredibly indecisive and after going to sainsburys, coming back and waiting for Courtney to arrive we STILL couldn't decide. It was a flick between Night at the Museum 2, Drag me to hell ("NO!!!" - Kirsty), or Last Chance Harvey (I said a big NO to this one - saw a clip of it on Jonathan Ross and it looks cringey and - quite frankly - crap). And then X-Men Origins: Wolverine got thrown into the mix and we were like: YES. I've already seen it before but love it so much I encouraged this choice A LOT. Plus, I don't mind giving money to the genuinely nice Hugh Jackman. It was brilliant and I even picked up the line of "I'm the best at what I do, and what I do isn't very nice" which might not mean anything to you, but I watched a parody on youtube the other day which mentionded this. The girl kept saying to him - "So what do you do?" and he keeps repeating the line above. It's quite funny :)
- The second out of these past three marvellous days I've had was spent Ebaying :). That's right - I earned £15 this week :). I wrapped up the items and posted them today - hope they arrive safely :)
As you can see my room is becoming quite consumed with this here lil business:
3. And then today I went shopping avec Megz and had a great time. We shopped around, debated what to buy and then ate some DELICIOUS food in BHS (sandwhiches, sausage rolls, cookies and danish pastry with mouthwatering melting icing adorned on it's surface. Um..yum anyone...???!) Megan got the black shoes and sunglasses she wanted whilst I bought a hat. For any of you people of the dark hair know how easy it is to get sunstroke in the sun (it happened to moi last week) because our hair is so bloody dark and it attracts the sun. This therefore gives me justification on buying a £16 hat. But it's so darn cute!! Also, when I got home a package had arrived and my mum had treated me to eyeko cream and lip balm !! YES!
A pretty fabulous three days, I have to say.
Love and Danish Pastries,
Madison
