Legendary Night

Greg invited us to his house for a party because his parents were away and it was SUCH a fun night :). We danced, we sang, we helped bully a smoker [ok, admittedly I was the one who stamped on his cigarette... but I saved a life, right?] ...

Overall, these photos say it all:

[This is the guy whose house it was. Sorry not very good english haha]

Lots of Birthday Invitations

Today I recieved two birthday invites: one for Dawn's party and one for Kirsty's [or at least I think so: Kirsty I think you sent it to my mum by mistake. I took it that it was meant for me, right?]

I'm excited for both - for both 18ths we are going in a limo up to London. Two limos in two months: not bad right?

There's only one problem, and that's with Dawn's party. Her theme is 'pink' and we have to wear accordingly. And guess what?

Yup, I know, how awkward am I? But I tend to stick to my favourite black clothing. Looking at my wardrobe is like looking into a black hole. My favourite colour is red, I think it suits me, and there are an assortment of different colours in there. But I don't wear pink.

So now I'm struggling to find a dress that is pink and that I'm going to wear again. Something that isn't too nauseating but still consists of something that actually is pink. I need help.

As you all know I am a HUGE fan of Zooey Deschanel, and I especially love her fashion. But it seems she shares my aversion to the difficult colour too:

However, I did find this one outfit in which she wears pink and LOVE it:

Ahh, has anyone seen anything similar anywhere?

Strike A Pose.

Photobucket

This was a while a back now but I just loved this party and couldn't miss out on sharing the awesome photos with you!

I had such a great time! It was a surprise 40th Birthday party for my Dad's cousin Karen and she was so shocked! Kirsty and I were the first on the dance floor with our official dance moves (ie Vogue, Robot, Llama, repeat). Even Karen's husband Simon came up to us and said: "If I don't speak to you two again tonight, I'd just like to thank you for getting everyody dancing!". Why thank you, we do try.

It was an incredibly good night, but I wish people had dressed up more - there was only about 40% in 80's outfit. Um, hello? It's a fancy dress party. Don't be rude and wear a green t shirt and jeans.

Urgh.

But on a lighter note - ooooooooooooooh I wanna dance with somebody!!

Desperately Seeking Costume

Photobucket

Has anyone seen Desperately Seeking Susan? I really love it - and only got introduced to the film when researching what outfit I could have for the 80's party I'm going to soon. I totally fell in love with the costume and decided to buy the DVD to get more inspiration. It's one of my favourite films now, just because Madonna is so great in it and it has a great storyline. The film made me want to be all carefree like Madonna's character Susan is, and the costumes are gorgeous :)

So anyways I decided to dress like her character for the party and have been trying to find bits and pieces for my outfit. Today I found a perfect white dress in a store that was closing down - only £8! I have everything off the above list now minus the leggings and beads which I'll get tomorrow [trust me - I have the 'tude. The outfit feels so great already, even if I am missing a few bits!] In two weeks I'll post photos of me in my full outfit, and Kirsty too - who is going as a FAME girl (very appropriate with the new film coming out).

Yesterday I went shopping avec Kirsty, and today I went shopping avec Lauren. My bank balance is soooo low - haven't stopped ebaying for the past three days! Lauren and I also went to see The Time Travellers Wife. I started to read the book a few weeks ago, but I decided to do something I have never done before: waited for the film to come out. It wasn't that the book wasn't good, it was. But for once the film looked exactly like the book. Anyway, now I'm engrossed with the fantastic book Thanks for the Memories by Cecelia Ahern. Love her books!! Oh, and by the way GO SEE THE FILM - the Time Travellors wife is a tear jerker but a must see (I managed to stay dry eyed because of the full commitment I had to my non-waterproof heavy eye make-up.)

Tomorrow it's off to see Evita.

Don't cry for me Argentina...!
